The institute’s programs address the pressing problems of political polarization, low civic participation, and the retreat from both civil discourse and constructive civic engagement.
Local Government Interns
The Local Government Intern Program is an opportunity for students to explore careers in public service/public policy and provides students with a chance to gain experience in a local government agency or organization.
Institute Fellows
The institute’s undergraduate fellows program provides students the opportunity to attend local City Council, County Commission, School Board and Planning Commission, and other government agency meetings as they follow a project, topic, or function of government through the regulatory and/or approval processes.
Constitutional Conversations
Since 2022, the Institute’s Constitutional Conversations have provided an opportunity for citizens to discuss contemporary debates in light of the country’s founding principles.
